About the Program

When was the last time you challenged yourself? When was the last time to set out to do something that challenges your skills. Have you spent time in self-analysis and development beyond academics?

Studies of the Use of Wilderness for Personal Growth, Therapy, Education, and Leadership Development by Gregory T. Friese, J. Taylor Pittman, and John C. Hendee at University of Idaho Wilderness Research Center and other research by Wilson 2000, Gatzemann 2008, Neill 2008 suggests participation in wilderness experience programs results in positive benefits, such as enhanced self-esteem and sense of personal control. Research evidence suggests that outdoor adventure programmes have positive effect on people’s attitudes, beliefs and self-perceptions – examples of outcomes include independence, confidence, self-esteem, internal locus of control, self-efficacy, personal effectiveness and coping strategies. interpersonal and social skills – such as social effectiveness, communication skills, group cohesion and teamwork- Mark Rickinson et al. About the Program

Mother Nature is one of the best trainers you’ll ever encounter. She’ll make you face up to fears you never knew you had. She’ll help you understand your place in the world. She’s not afraid to tell you what others are reluctant to say – you’re not invincible, your confidence needs work, you’re capable of far more than you realized. This jungle adventure course is a rigorous, adventurous &highly engaging 2 day wilderness training course where participants learn and apply leadership qualities in various wilderness activities. Leaders command their troupes and take teams though various challenges.

Program itinerary

  • Day 1:
    • Objective: Self-assessment and training on leadership and emotional intelligence.
      • EQ Psychometric Assessment
      • Emotional intelligence and Leadership training by Psychologists & OB expert
      • Leadership Psychometric Assessment and discussion
  • Day 2:
    • Objective: Application of learning. Learning through experience.
      • Participants receive objectives and goals from training expert.
      • Leaders for each challenge are decided
      • Participants go through various wilderness challenge activities.
