Decision making involves arriving at a certain set of actions (or inaction) based on the available information. The decision addresses the need while minimizing the risks of the consequences of the decision.

How we come in

  • Step 1: Identification
    Within a series of activities, Headrush can create situations that test the decision-making ability of a participant under particular conditions:
    • Decision making under pressure: How calm and focused on the job does a participant stay under immense pressure from the opposition or the control group?
    • Decision making in a changing environment: How does the participant react when certain assumed elements of an activity suddenly change? Is he able to think on his feet and adapt to those changes?
    • Decision making given all the information: What is the 'audit-trail' to the decision like? How does the candidate process the information given?
  • Step 2: Awareness
    • Based on the information derived from the activities, participants are made aware of characteristics or traits that might hamper their decision making.

Summary

Different groups have different conditions in which decision-making gets stressed. Therefore, every team building programme, is unique, and will be determined upon meeting with the client and trainers and gauging:

  • Where the stress-conditions like in the company eg. deadlines, changing environment
  • Any typical decision making patterns within the company

Activities are then customized by the trainers to whatever length they need to be, in order to best achieve the client's requirement.
